This holiday season, a YouTube personality by the name of Rob Bliss decided to put his generosity to the test (and, in the process, put the popular Amazon Prime shipping service to the test) by approaching various homeless people in New York City, asking them what they wanted, and ordering them through the Amazon service.
Among the items that were purchased by Bliss through Amazon include socks and shoes, underwear, items of personal hygiene, and sleeping bags.
It was certainly an inspiring video to watch around the holiday season because not only does it help restore a bit of faith that people have in humanity, but it also might serve to inspire your own reserves of generosity that might just need that little spark to kick back into high gear.
It is always really reassuring to see people using technology like Amazon and YouTube for good instead of for cynical purposes.
After all, if we do not use the technology that is at our fingertips for the good of humanity and the betterment of the world as a whole, then what is the point of even having access to the technology in the first place? Might there be a collaboration in the future? Who’s to say?
